Learning that continues long
after class

At boarding school, the whole day is education. A conversation over breakfast about something from science class. An evening rehearsal. A late night working through an idea with a roommate from another continent. Students pursue what they are passionate about, discover what they are good at, and grow into themselves in the process.

Adults who know every student by name

House parents live alongside students. Advisors meet them in small groups regularly. Tutors and counsellors follow their progress and learn about their dreams and ambitions. Together they form a support circle around each student. As our Oxford Principal puts it, young people far from home must feel “known, noticed and supported.”

A home away
from home

Students share a room with classmates from other countries, matched with care before they arrive, and together they create a home. In Oxford, every student belongs to one of three houses, Magdalen, Folly or Osney, each with its own colors and traditions. Hot chocolate nights, cultural celebrations and inter-house games are the small rituals of belonging that students remember for the rest of their lives.

The world at the edge of our campuses

Every campus is a home base beside one of the great cities of the world. Manhattan is a train ride from EF Academy New York. Los Angeles and the sunny Pacific are a short drive from Pasadena. Oxford has been a city of learning for eight hundred years. Students on our campuses learn how to find their way in the wider world, together.
