Before joining EF Academy, Matei studied in a Romanian school with a limited curriculum. After joining EF Academy, he was exposed to a diverse community of students from different countries and cultures, which broadened his perspective and taught him to be more open-minded.
EF Academy also provided him with access to a wide range of extracurricular activities, such as Model UN, yearbook club, and volunteering club. These activities helped him develop his leadership and teamwork skills and allowed him to pursue his interests and passions.
