Our campus is tucked away in the quiet suburban town of Thornwood. There is as much to do outside as in the modern science labs, impressive theater, and inspiring dance and art studios inside. It is my goal, and the goal of our faculty and staff, to give you the space and encouragement to discover and pursue your passions. We pride ourselves in the fact that students from around the world – even those who have traveled thousands of miles – call the safe, supportive community we have built here home. As if the energy on campus weren’t enough, the excitement of New York City is only 45 minutes from our doorstep.

Dr. Vladimir D. Kuskovski, Head of EF Academy New York, received his Bachelor’s degree in English and German from Minsk Linguistics University, Master’s degree in Political Science from Manchester University in the UK, Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from St. Mary’s University and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from University of Minnesota and Capella University. With over 30 years in education, mostly within IB schools, he taught multiple subjects, served in various leadership roles, and worked extensively with IB programmes. Dr. Kuskovski is an IB trainer, Examiner, and Adjunct Professor at Endicott College. He's associated with educational organizations globally and serves on multiple boards, including the Academy of International School Heads, Baku Oxford School in Azerbaijan, and Stellar World Schools in India. 

Vladimir enjoys reading historical novels, sports, and nature. His wife Jennifer is a fellow educator and a writer, his son Maks graduated from EF Academy (Class of 2023) having completed all 4 years at the school.
