Admissions and tuition
EF Academy enrolls eager, curious and motivated students from all corners of the world. Our admissions process is holistic, inclusive and personalized. While school grades matter, we also evaluate each student's interests, goals and aspirations and consider how they could make a positive impact at our modern, international high school.
Our admissions process
The EF Academy admissions process is designed to let us get to know you, your strengths and your motivation for studying at an international high school abroad. It's a very personal, uncomplicated process and we accept applications on a rolling basis.
Your local Admissions Consultant will invite you to an in-person or online consultation – so you can get to know us and we can get to know you.
Take the 50-minute EFSET test to determine your level of English. Different programs require different English level prerequisites (see 'Program prerequisites' below).
Create your Student Profile, choose the EF Academy campus you are applying to, your academic program and residence preferences, and provide us with essential documents, including:
- A personal statement
- Official transcripts from the last two years
- Scan of your passport
This is your chance to tell us about your interests and ambitions, academic commitment and motivation for coming to EF Academy.
After making a holistic assessment of your application, you will receive our acceptance decision. Successful applicants will receive an acceptance pack and our Admissions Consultants will help you finalize any documentation closer to departure, including obtaining your visa.
We will keep you informed in the months leading up to departure and invite you to a Pre-Departure Meeting so both students and parents are ready for this new adventure. Pack your bags!
We look for open-minded students who are committed to excelling academically, excited to explore their new surroundings and prepared to broaden their horizons abroad. Our application process considers more than just grades and we have some prerequisites to ensure your success at EF Academy.
Most students will need to secure a student visa to study at our international high school. Our Admissions Consultants maintain strong relationships with visa compliance officers at our school. Together, they support families through the process by explaining the visa procedures, what information they need to submit, guiding them through interview preparation and answering any questions they have along the way.
