Meet Dona Jones,

Head of School, EF Oxford

With 20 years’ experience in education, including 14 years in international education and leadership, Dona’s career has included roles in U.K. state education and at an IB World School in Malaysia.

During her time at EF Academy Oxford, Dona has held a range of academic and leadership roles, including IB Diploma Coordinator and Deputy Head, with responsibility for both the IB Diploma and A Level programmes. This has given her a deep understanding of the school, its students and its international community.

As Principal, Dona is committed to creating an ambitious, inclusive and transformative educational experience. She believes in high expectations, strong relationships and creating the conditions in which both students and staff can succeed. Pastoral care and boarding are central to this approach.

Dona holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies, a PGCE and a MA in Education, with a focus on digital tools in learning.

Outside of school, Dona enjoys travelling, exploring new restaurants, cycling, walking and strength training.
