Dona has been part of EF Academy Oxford since 2016 and is now Principal of the school. With 20 years’ experience in education, including 14 years in international education and leadership, her career has included roles in UK state education and at an IB World School in Malaysia.

During her time at EF Academy Oxford, Dona has held a range of academic and leadership roles, including IB Diploma Coordinator and Deputy Head, with responsibility for both the IB Diploma and A Level programmes. This has given her a deep understanding of the school, its students and its international community.

As Principal, Dona is committed to creating an ambitious, inclusive and transformative educational experience. She believes in high expectations, strong relationships and creating the conditions in which both students and staff can succeed.

Pastoral care and boarding are central to this approach. For young people living and studying away from home, often in a different country and culture, Dona believes it is essential that they feel part of a community where they are known, noticed and supported. She places great value on helping students feel secure and connected while developing the confidence and independence they need for life beyond school.
